BBC Music Awards winners revealed!

The winners of this year’s BBC Music Awards were revealed at a ceremony at Kings Place in London.

“Korean composer Unsuk Chin won the jury’s ‘Premiere’ award for her recording of three concertos including her piano concerto performed by Sunwook Kim with the Seoul Philharmonic under Myung-Whun Chung. “

In 2014/15 season, Sunwook Kim is going to be the artist-in-residence of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. He shall be performing two concerts, joining up with Amyn Merchant and Jesper Svedberg for a performance of Beethoven’s monumental Triple Concerto for piano, violin and cello, as well as tackling Rachmaninov’s towering Third Piano Concerto for the first time. For his piano recital he will perform Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
